End of Year Concert - HOTA 2026

Our End of Year Concert is an incredible way for students to show off what they’ve learned in class. It's a fun and exciting part of their dance journey.

We love seeing our students practice, work together, and perform on stage. Concerts give everyone the chance to shine and an opportunity to feel proud of their hard work.

It’s also a great time for family and friends to watch, celebrate and congratulate. We encourage even our youngest and newest dancers to join in and be part of this special event.

Please leave your child with us at the door. Our waiting room will be closed and we are unable to have parents in the venue.

We have done our absolute best to try and arrange the schedule so that your child isn't needed across the entire day on and off. However, in some cases, you may find this is needed depending on how many classes you attend and what venues you attend. The timetable is now 100% finalised and there will not be any changes to the schedule.

Band App

Students use the BAND App to practice their routines at home.

Click the button below for full details on accessing this.

How Long does each routine run for?

All routines range from 3 - 3.5 minutes per class/group. Some routines will run for a little longer, if we have more children/groups involved in a particular routine.

Do I need to pack food for my child who is performing?

Yes, please pack a non-messy or sticky morning tea snack, lunch and afternoon snack. Please be sure to pack a drink bottle! (Please no NUTS)

What if my child doesn't want to perform on the day or is nervous?

We had over 400 students in our 2025 concert. Although there were certainly a few nerves, every student confidently went on stage and performed. The experience backstage is incredible, and your child is guided and supported every step of the way.  We will do everything we possibly can to support your child to have a positive experience on stage. If they don't wish to perform on the day, our team will be there to support any child that needs additional help or guidance. We will manage this on a case by case basis and communicate with the parent accordingly.

Is my child required for the full day?

Each student is an integral part of their dance routine and an important part of their team.  We will require students to be there for the full allocated duration of the day.

Do I get to keep my costume?

Yes! All costumes are brand new and are carefully chosen especially for your child :)

How long will the shows run for?

Our Show Run times are yet to be determined

When will the videos and photos be available?

Your Child’s photo/s from Photo Day and the Concert Video will be available as a digital download which is included in your Concert Fee. Both the Video and your child’s photo will be distributed by the end of January.

Are Concert Tickets Refundable?

Based on HOTA’s Terms & Conditions they are typically not refundable. Please click on this link for more information https://hota.com.au/terms-conditions/

Is my child allowed to bring a device?

No, devices are not permitted at the concert.

All student devices must remain safely at home. We want every child to feel included and connected during this special event. Allowing devices can unintentionally create moments where some children feel left out if they don’t have one. By keeping all devices at home, we make sure everyone enjoys the same shared experience together, without distractions or worries about belongings during the event.

Our team prioritises both student safety and the security of personal items.

If a child needs to make contact with their parents/guardian, they can speak with a team member who will assist them. If a parent needs to make contact with their child, please call 0490 766 193, in the event of an emergency or unforeseen situation.
